Due to the agenda items listed below, this meeting will be conducted in written format in accordance with Article 5-14 of the Fukuoka Transportation Area Taxi Semi-Specified Region Council Establishment Guidelines.

For those interested in employment in the taxi industry.

We will provide an explanation on January 29, 2025, at Acros Fukuoka.

For operators within the Fukuoka transportation area (Fukuoka City, Kasuga City, Onojo City, Chikushino City, Dazaifu City, Koga City, Itoshima City, Nakagawa City, Kasuya District), starting from July 1, 2024, a “pick-up fee” will be applied to taxi dispatch requests made via phone or app, and this fee will be added to the fare. Each operator will set a fixed fee ranging from 200 to 300 yen.

What kind of work is taxi driving? What about ride-hailing apps?

We will answer your questions at the Tenjin Underground Mall Event Corner on January 17, 2024.

The fees will be changed starting January 4, 2024.

The new training schedule from April 2024 onwards will be changed from three days to two days

As of March 1, 2024, the geographical test has been abolished and replaced with an effectiveness assessment, as announced in the public notice. Please refer to the [Registration Center Corner] for the effectiveness assessment tasks and utilize them for geographical guidance.

On Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the Tenjin Underground Shopping Center Event Corner, multiple companies affiliated with our association will participate in a joint company information session to recruit taxi drivers.

If you are interested in a career as a taxi driver, please feel free to join us.

August 5th is “Taxi Day”.
This year, wrapped taxis designed by elementary school students will run through the streets of Fukuoka.
Please look for the 10 wrapped taxis.

Regarding the 3rd Fukuoka Transportation Area Taxi Semi-Specific Area Council (Meeting Results)

We hereby announce the results of the 3rd Fukuoka Transportation Area Taxi Semi-Specific Area Council (written consultation) that was recently held.

Record

1. Written consultation voting date: Monday, March 20, 2023

2. Consultation matters
(1) Handling of requests for changes to the official fare range
(2) Changes to the current additional fare amount of 60 yen
(3) Changes to the current initial distance reduction of 3 times

3. Consultation results: Of the 27 members excluding taxi operators, 26 responded. All 26 responding members gave their consent. The number of vehicles operated by consenting taxi operators exceeded the majority. As a result, the consultation matters were approved.

4. Reporting consultation results: The consultation results were reported to the Director of Kyushu Transport Bureau as follows:
(1) Agreement was reached regarding changes to the official fare range.
(2) Regarding changes to the additional fare amount, opinions were compiled as follows: • It is desirable that the additional fare amount be set at 80 yen.
(3) Regarding fares with reduced initial distance, opinions were compiled as follows:
• Initial distance reduction should continue to be implemented.
• It is desirable that initial distance reduction be limited to approximately 2 reductions.

We have held the 2nd Fukuoka Transportation Area Taxi Semi-Specific Regional Council (written consultation), and hereby announce the results.

4. Report on Consultation Results: Target values were set as per the attached document and reported to the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
