Fees for the driver registration system
In designated areas as stipulated in Article 2, Paragraph 5 of the Special Measures Act for the Rationalization of Taxi Business (hereinafter referred to as the "Act"), taxi drivers are required to be registered in the taxi driver registry before working as a taxi driver.
Of the designated areas stipulated in Article 1 of the Enforcement Order of the Act, the Fukuoka region is handled by the Fukuoka City Taxi Association (Fukuoka Taxi Registration Center), an entity registered by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (Registration Implementation Agency) in accordance with Article 19, Paragraph 1 of the Act.
The various fees charged at the center are as follows:
